    Am I wasting microbes?

... I grow aquaponicly-organic. Lol The majority of my aquaponic growing was hydroponics (soil-less). It works well. With that said, and from what I've read, there is nothing scientifically significant or superior of organically grown over non-organic. It's simply a federal or state...

Hermies and what really causes them...

Another reason could be that you're having problems as "feminized seeds" are hermie by design, and show male traits to stress much easier than "regular seeds".

    Three a Light???

Nothing. Bottled shit is bottled shit. It doesn't matter who wipes. The moral of the story is that 3alight are ripping off uneducated farmers.

@draxhemp, yup, just making sure. A lot of farmers get confused on the terminology. I'd love to see pictures of your grow. Do you have a journal?

Never tried any hydroponics someone help me

I just want to confirm you know that: Aeroponics is a plant-cultivation technique in which the roots hang suspended in the air while nutrient solution is delivered to them in the form of a fine mist. "Aero" meaning "relating to air", and "ponics" meaning "labor" or "to work". Aquaponic is a...

    Three a Light???

A couple of things I think are worth mentioning when growers bring up “defoliation”. No amount of nutrients will help the plant grow, unless they are first processed through the leaves. Only then, may mobile nutrients, commonly called “plant food” continue to the buds, for growth. The real name...

Keep in mind "Nate Storey" and the PhD he posts on all his videos, has his Doctorate in Philosophy, not Botany, and his Masters is in Integrated Agricultural System. He only has a bachelors in Agroecology. I wouldn't follow his teaching to the T.

Similar, yes, but not exactly. Technically, most aquaponic growers use a hydroponic method, or at minimum, duel root zones. Hydroponics simply means "soil-less"

    Do Hydroponics create more Waste?

I recycle my water, endlessly. I've had the same water in my reservoir for almost 2.5 years now. I top off every couple of days (15gal or so). 0% wasted

    Do Hydroponics create more Waste?

Well, that's not right.. I grow in hydroponics; I also grow in soil; both of these methods are done in an aeroponic method, in the same system. My hydro and soil I have "zero" waste. Nothing in my system goes to waste, ever. Cannabis garden's are not a cookie cutter, "one size fits all", as no...

Defoliation - removing fan leaves for higher yield

It wasn't that he was calling you names as an insult. It's simply that many here on RIU are very frustrated with "pro-defoliators", as there never is any real science to back their claims. Generally you hear, "I do it, so it must work". Calling you "A Clown", really isn't as bad as you may be...

    Organic Feeding 101.

I ran into a problem last year with tank leak. I lost some fish and had to supplement fish for what I had on hand. My local hatchery is trout, but only available seasonally. My current system is running Brook Trout, Rainbow Trout, and supplemented with Shubunkins, and Comets. In total, about...

    Organic Feeding 101.

Plants don't require sodium, but sodium has be shown to help with metabolism, in very small amounts. It's a "trace element". http://www.pthorticulture.com/en/training-center/role-of-sodium-and-chloride-in-plant-culture/
