Does the XLG-150-H-A would work for 3 cobs which are 90cri, 1800mA; 52V; 93,6W (vero 29 BXRC-35G10K0-B-7X)? It's the only driver that I found in Brazil and think that might works.

Thanks, Rocket! In this case, should I build two circuits with 3 cobs parallely connected? What about fuses? One per cob? How can I choose it? And the coolers' circuit is apart? How do I proceed?

My cobs are 90cri, 1800mA; 52V; 93,6W (I found this info on its catalog). About heatsinks: I live in Brazil, which doesn't have a good passive heatsinks market, so I already bought six Alpine 11 GT coolers. My initial idea was to use HLG-480H-54A. But now, with the high of dollar I've been...

Hi guys I've already have six VERO297GEN BXRC-35G10K0-B-7X. How can I choose the driver? Will a HLG-320H work?

    Heatsinks for DIY LED lamps

Is it ok if only the yellow part of the cob be on contact with the Alpine 11? In this case it'll fit.

Can I ignore this portion and mount like @madininagyal ?

    Heatsinks for DIY LED lamps

Thanks! Does the cobs have to fit exactly on the little different-gray square of the Alpine? Is alright that the cobs are a little bigger than these square or the dissipation would be prejudiced?

    Heatsinks for DIY LED lamps

Nice! I've spent a quite time searching about passive HS. My problem is that I live in Brazil and the market of passive HS here is shameful. My only manner to get those would be importing from US or another country, which would be very expensive. =( I've just looked some guys talking about...

    Heatsinks for DIY LED lamps

Thank you, man! It's a very useful info. Just to get sure: the method is an simply comparison between cooler's TDP and cobs heat watts, considering the contact area. Was I right thinking this? And btw, do you have any cooler suggestion for me?

    Heatsinks for DIY LED lamps

Hi guys! I'm planning to use one I70 cooler (Coolermaster) per vero29 working at aprox 75w (i'm using 50 heat watts for design). Coolermaster's site says that this cooler has 95W TDP. So I concluded it'd fit. Is this the right way of think? Besides that, how do I know if this cooler matches with...

surplus copper, aluminum, Composite heatsinks... ...?

Nice explanation, bro! Just confirming if I got it: I'm designing my led pannel intending to run my six veros 29 (gen 7) at aprox 80 watts each, so I concluded it'll generate like 45W of heat (I was helped on other thread about that). 45*2=90W So any active heatsink with 90W TDP would handle...

Designing DIY Led's and Its Heatsinks

Hello guys, I'm designing the heatsinks for my 6 veros 29 3500K B (7gen) which I intend to run on approximately 80w each (hlg 480H - 54V). I've learned some stuff here about the relation of surface area per heat watts and these stuff and concluded that the active heatsinks would be better for...

    Help on HLG-480/Vero29 build

the problem is that I've already bought 6 veros 29, gonna run them at 80w ea aprox just cogitating if I should buy 1 or 2 more... what do you think? thanks for your time, man!

    Lumens

nice!!! got it. so if I have a 480w driver with 50% efficiency, I should build a tent with (480*0,5)/30 = 8 sq ft (using leds) how bad would be 25w/sq ft?

    Sizing heatsink area

I've just realized that but still don't know which info should I look for on the cob's catalog to find the real efficiency and the percentage of heat generate. Do you know how may I find that? Thanks!

    Help on HLG-480/Vero29 build

but do you think that my yield would be very prejudicated using the voltage lower than the maximum of 54V as you suggested? In this case, the best way to solve that would be to buy more cobs, like run 8 or 9 for these driver?

    Lumens

So if I'm using a 480W driver should I divide that by 30 to find the ideal area? Or is it 30w/ft² only of "useful" wattage (considering the efficiency)?

    Sizing heatsink area

I looked at the vero 29 gen 7 catalog : Imagining 105°C, then I made 100%-85%=15% of heat generation (which I increased to 20% to include an error margin) Which info should I search on catalog to find the correct percentage of heat generate? I was planning a 7.984'' wide extruded with 8''...

    Help on HLG-480/Vero29 build

Thank you!!! It is something very useful to know. If I make a circuit with a system that turns off every cob if one fails would this problem disappear?

    Questions about my setup

now I'm calculating the dimensions of an aluminium passive heatsink for my setup. After some study I got that my cobs working with aprox 80w ea would generate 20% of heat at the worst case temperature. Then I made: 0,2*(80)=16 heat watts and sized the dimensions of the heatsink. I've reached...
