mine are like that, but small grass shears, the only other thing I can think to do with mine to make them work it to grind or file down the blades and make them much smaller.

How close am I from harvest?

If you see mostly cloudy and some amber you are in the “window” of harvest. If you need to take it, then do it, if you can wait 7-10 days then wait. I took down a large plant today. I saw a caterpillar, but no rot. Lucky! I’ve got 7 plants and I’m assuming where there’s one caterpillars there...

Well. It wasn’t a good idea, but it was t horrible. I have two plants that are dedicated to butters, oils and tinctures. I tried the shears on a couple branches and it worked OK. I wouldn’t use it on my really nice plants with big buds though. I might get better with more practice though.

    Pulling Plants

they can take a few hours below 30 easily, as long as it warms up during the day. Couple years back here in central Oregon we had mid 20’s end of Sept and my plants didn’t like it, but we’re OK. Just need to keep an eye out for mold and rot.

Who is whining? I’m just talking about trying something different? I’ve got about 20 pairs of Fiskars micro shears a buddy of mine who owns a mail in sharpening business is sharpening for me now I dry in my garage which has a mini split to keep it a constant temp with a dehumidifier and fans.

    Wet trim ideas

100 plants in the past, not any more. I’ve got 7 but they’re big! I plan on trying to use the small attachment and not coming close to the buds. it’s for a rough wet trim only.. I figure I have to cut the stems off anyway. I might end up giving myself more work on the back end doing the fine...

    Wet trim ideas

Interesting. How do you feel that the electric trimmers would have been more of a pain in the ass than scissors? I’ve grown 100+ plants a few times and ended up hiring people to help me.

I don’t think I’d try those. Here’s what I ordered. Ordered a couple and if they don’t work out, I’ll send them back. I’ll need a bigger dish of isopropyl!!

    Wet trim ideas

I do a rough wet trim before hanging to dry. Basically take the fan leaves and everything within a couple inches of the buds. I saw a YouTube video of a guy who uses cordless handheld grass shears to do his rough trim on his branches Anyone else try this?

    Should I Harvest Now.

Harder to tell from the pics than in person, but I’d say you’ve got spots of bud rot now. Pull the bud open where you see those brown spots and see what’s under it at the stem. I hope it’s not, but it looks suspiciously like bud rot.

    What’s going on with this?

It’s def stressed! It’s in the sun all but maybe 1-2 hours of the available daylight hours, then maybe a month ago some critter gnawed at the truck of the plant. So it’s bad stress for sure. I was planning on just using this plant for FECO, tinctures and butters anyway. Is it still good for that?

    What’s going on with this?

I’ve posted pics of this plant before, I’ve sent pictures to the Humboldt Seed Co grower and everyone has come to the conclusion that it’s not a hermie. Pastchio: Grown from seed. The first 3 pics are the one that’s fucked up, the last one is my healthy Pistachio. Im not good with identifying...

    Catapiilars help!

Everyone grows differently. But I only grow outdoors and I haven’t sprayed my plants with anything in the last 3 years! I haven’t seen any caterpillars, spider mites or russets! (I’m knocking on wood right now) I do have those little white butterfly bastards flying around my garden, but they...

    Oregon Outdoor 2022

nice! I’m hoping my long term forecast for the east side of the gorge holds up! I’ve got two plants I’m using strictly for edibles, topicals and tinctures. 3 will be harvested before the Oct 4 rain leaving me on big plant to cover. I have 20’ PVC I bend over it and greenhouse plastic to throw...
