    Ok I'll have to get some risers... In the mean time will it hurt them I imagine the negitive of then not being on risers is any run off would be sorta trapped at the bottom giving rise to the possiblity of salt build up in the mix?

    I use an apera pH 60 model and I really like it it has replacement probs and it takes normal AAA batteries it isn't inexpensive but it isn't expensive. So far I'm pleased. Got it off the ol Amazon if your interested in looking at it.
