Vermicomposters Unite! Official Worm Farmers Thread

Hey friends. I just read here that using synthetic fertilizers kills most or all of the microbes in the soil food web. I was about to top dress my plants with my homemade worm castings and feed with Tiger Bloom. I was even going to use a full recommended dose since my plants are showing signs...

Indica Rescue: an open grow journal

Yoooo, someone replied!! Yeah, same light. It's great in my opinion. I'm growing 4 plants in a 2.5ft x 5ft x 73" tent. In there it keeps the perfect temperature -- daytime temps at 75-80, nighttime temps at 70-75. It would grow your plants for sure.

What Do You Do With Waste?!?!

I first got worms off craigslist :) Here's the Vemicompost thread! https://rollitup.org/t/vermicomposters-unite-official-worm-farmers-thread.637587/page-76#post-15503541 I made my own worm bin using two utility storage bins. On one bin, I drilled holes into the bottom for drainage and at the...

What Do You Do With Waste?!?!

I love worms. They eat trash and have hermaphroditic orgies.

Vermicomposters Unite! Official Worm Farmers Thread

Just harvested a big ol' jug of worm castings for the first time. Felt kinda bad taking it from the lil buggers -- they looked so happy nestled in their dirt. Anyhow, I was wondering just what it is exactly is in worm castings. Everyone knows its good for growing, but why? What does it do? Off...

Thanks so much! Will you give em citrus? I'm juicing limes every week :P From what I've read, there seems to be a divided house on sharing peels with the worms

What causes RADICALLY different TDS measurements (ppm) ?

Ah good to know! Would that mean it's fruitless to compare nute solution ppm and soil runoff ppm? My plants leaves have alway seemed rather dark to me, but this is my first grow

Not sure if nute burn or to close to light......HELP(first time grow)

Cool grow bro :clap::clap::clap::clap: Didn't mean to imply seedlings always do poorly in big containers. But I stand by what I said about my experience. Personally, every move I made was WAY overkill in a big pot! Not the pot's fault that I overestimated the root system... Starting with a...

Not sure if nute burn or to close to light......HELP(first time grow)

I don't know much. I'm new too. But I'll say this. All of my seedlings that were given to me in that big of a container looked like that, always sick and never growing. It's too hard for baby roots to develop in that much dirt. What I ended up with was some wet, highly compacted, highly nuted...

    What does this look like?

When it comes to diagnosing, if the lower leaves are affected first, then it could be some imbalanced mobile nutrient N, P, K, Mg, Zn. If the new growth is affected first, then it could be some imbalanced immobile nutrient. Echoing Kassiopeija. Balance your pH first. The damage is permanent...

What causes RADICALLY different TDS measurements (ppm) ?

While measuring TDS of the nutrient mixture and runoff of my 4 plants, I got drastically different results. How can this occur in plants that are on the same feed cycle? Vermicomposters Unite! Official Worm Farmers Thread

Can we revitalize this thread? I just started worm composting last week! Paid a guy on Craigslist $8 and he scooped out red wrigglers from his compost bin to fill 32 oz can for me. No telling how many there are, but they seem happy -- no smell, no escapees, just rotting food and worm poo...

Indica Rescue: an open grow journal

The plants looked much better after the April 22 root recovery solution. No more rapidly dying lower leaves. I guess that's the power of the beneficial bacteria and mycorrhizal supplement. ...And today I read the bottle and learned that liquid nutrients must be shaken before use  It blew...

Help and advice needed, yellowing in the bottom leaves, also check what a house fly did to my seedlings

Woah... you said house fly vomit did this?? Ahhhh, skeptical but interested, I'm gonna google that... And if you care for my two cents, I say it's gonna be a while before you have everything you need for a super soil. You should put those plants in some quality bagged soil in the meantime.
