Just pop the pots off the ground... u want a little runoff when uw ater right... 10% runoff... u got to be johnny on the spot w the vaccum if u got them located on the ground.... You got to fear the rewick... if u got any kind of decent medium it will release the water after saturation kinda...

u can make a excellent LED and push 650 watts for under $500 very easily... 4-6 HLG96V2s on 2 320 drivers boom. it was my first grow and i blew it w the ppfd before i got my meter... way too low for the first month... still pushed out over a pound... I wouldnt base my purchasing decisions on...

Thanks for the info... ill still try and come back after my test ina week or so cuz im convinced i was drawing more ppfd per watt w my last LED build over my HPS... and i still think the real advantage is in tertiary costs and flexability... like i said im new to this but it seems to me theres...

OK.. but if im pushing a 1000w thru a HPS vs 1000w thru a LED the tent like 10 degrees hotter w the hps.... HPS r hot because they are not nearly as efficient... heat and light are unrelated... anytime ur light is putting off heat its inefficiency... HPS run way hotter because they are less...

im sorry the same DLI... so lets say 12QBs pushing out 1000k watts will generate a few more degrees in the tent than 18 QBs pushing out 1000k... the lower u run the LEDs the more efficient they are... heat basically being light ineffieciency... can u do that w ur lights or no? i would...

Im confused... cant u just spread the 700w over the 3 lights... running them each more efficiently therefor generating less heat.... If i need heat i pop a V2 off the driver.. and just a string of 2 instead iof 3 off the same wattage... generates a few degress in the tent if i need to add heat...

Im certainly not an expert... tyhis is just the math i went thru building my latest setup when i rig up what i got speced ill see what kinda ppfd is coming down at 500w.... gimme a week.... my point was more of the other costs... ur 1000w hps is going to require more wattage for climate...

Quality over quantity so im looking to add some UV to the fixture... New to this indoor growing thing so could use some help from the community... Im building a fixture of HLG 96v2s... theres going to be 15 on 5 drivers in a 6x8 area.. cannopy probable 4-5x8... idk what im going to run them at...
