I meant that the reasoning behind using RO water was that the tap water had too many ppm. Some cities the water has too many bad bits in it. Only way to deal with it is to filter and or RO. PH can always be adjusted.

Lots of new growers here. Me too. My tap water is PH 8.2 and 120ppm. I PH down to around 5.8 (DWC grow). Using RO water I thought had more to do with PPM, rather than PH? Good luck one and all.

All said and done, I am really looking forward to your produce when you get a decent light. You done good with what you have. Kudos.. But the main loss is time.. Which as you get older you will realise is a limite quantity! Start saving, like.... yesterday..

Yeah, doesn't look great. I'm first time DWC too, so wondering if you have multiple air stones, adding H2O2 regularly? And what does your plant look like? Symptoms? I'm scrogged in, (have a scrog net) hence can't see my roots. I'd suggest adding H2O2, or there are other similar options...

Perhaps you are over thinking it. Put your nugs in a container, eg.plastic lunch box without kid. Place in Vac machine.. Voila! No crushed nugs.. Could even work with Mason jar, sans lid.
