How often have you been feeding her? If you've been feeding too much it may be nute lockout. If your soil has way more than the plant can handle your plant will stop aborting nutrients completely until the soil is back to a healthy level for the plant

I would use a tent just because it would be way easier and cleaner than just on the garage floor. I would go with LED lights if startup money isn't an issue. You could do anything number of plants from 4-50+ I personally would do 16 in a 10x10. 4 plants per 5x5 basically.

It is normal, the roots grow to the bottom pretty quick. It's actually a great sign, your plant is happy and loving life. There is still tons of room for root growth if that's what you're inquiring for.
