    main lining

Advice for mainling: 1. Get tent pegs, plants are strong and can move wires, and other pliable things. 2. It will increase yield, however, you need to spread those colas or like can have trouble getting in there 3. It adds 2 weeks to a grow, so, if your on a schedule, it is not worth it. (hence...

Sample Size and breeding selection per Filial generation

My protocol for breeding selection I typically pop between 25 to 100 seeds per filial generation. First Culling - 3 weeks (Vegetative) - Samples are culled by size, growth rate and leaf shape. (abnormal growth pattern plants are removed usually; except for albino and polyploids) I restrict...

Why’s my plant look like this

Interveinal chlorosis typically is caused by cal-mag deficiency. Also I don't recommend using the Ph meter pictured above. Invest in a good Ph meter. it will pay for itself. Solution - Ensure Ph is 6.5 - 7. If you are growing in soil. Look for some gypsum if growing organic, or put some Calmag...

Looking for the best breeders for some classic strains?

Wil2279, 1. Humboldt Seed Organization - Blue Dream - Stupid crazy stretch....like insane. All phenos I have produced needed alot of training to get an even canopy. Great flavor and definitely great genetics. Humboldt makes some fire stuff. 2. Northern Lights- This is a very old genetic, you...

    First organic grow

Well Done! They look super happy! I use Gaia green, the dry amendments you mentioned are great. I suggest you add some dolomite lime next time. Also, some strains seem to be pigs on Cal-Mg-Fe you may want to source those out and top dress. Additionally, some silica in the form of rice hulls.

    Am I just over watering?

That is definitely dampening off. I would also suggest allowing the soil to dry. You can also aerate the soil by perforating it with say a bamboo stick. This can help quickly provide the roots with oxygen. Also, I understand peoples opinion of "it's too far gone to save"....However. I have...

    Effects of defoliation during flowering

Harvest76, I have mainlined for a few years, and have since switched back to LST. It's faster and doesn't require constant plant recovery. The canopy uniformity and yield I suppose made it say 15% more advantageous in the flower phase once harvested. However, given the extra work, electricity...

Recycled Organic Living Soil (ROLS) and No Till Thread

This is a great thread. I recycle my soil and it saves money and produces some great results. The micro biodiversity of composted recycled super soil is crazy. I suggest to all. Take some super soil that is white with myco and innoculate your other composts with it. Works amazing.

    Super soil recipe opinion

Kriz878, listen to Hash Hound, keep it simple. Try hitting up your local landscaping company or better yet ask a local nursery for compost. The azomite and other trace minerals are great. But all the other meals are redundant. Less is more, remember its a weed. It is designed to thrive.

If a seed germinates is it a good seed?

Doomboy, Typically, seeds don't germinate immediately upon removal from the calyx. They require stratification, and need to be dried to trigger the correct conditions for germination. When harvesting for seeds, I typically leave them a week or 2 longer to ensure proper development and...

Creating White Powder Mildew Bio-Weapon, (spore aerosol)

Seems reasonable. Albeit, I think the environmental variable would be hard to stabilize in your experiment. i.e. who's to say your environment isn't causing it. Best of luck!

    bb breeding question

I am in concurrence with XTSHO and Observe & Report. Also, from experience, the DJ Short Blueberry genes carry a lot of hermaphroditic alleles. I would also suggest avoiding STS as the progeny will inherit the forced genetic mutation. What I would do is: 1. Clone the Pebble cut en masse. 2...

Breeding back vigorous in IBL Strains?

Most recently I crossed Grand Daddy Purp and OG Kush x Blueberry. I can attest that hybrid vigor can be aggressive. Note below this oddity. Albino mutant. We shall see if it survives. I.e.
