I've researched the cost, turnkey setups can be had for around 2.3-2.5k. I've been doing lots of research, but that's the thing there isn't very much besides the summit documents. This is something I am very interested in pursuing and will not be dissuaded.

Sounds like you are overcomplicating this. IMO get rid of that thing, put a dome over them, and just leave them alone. IME seedlings like ph'ed tap water. If you want to get fancy you can put a heat mat under them.

They do sell tent material on Amazon if you're OCD like I am. Buy some of that and some of that 3M spray on glue. Shouldn't be able to tell the difference.

Man I've learned in my short time doing this, that you can grow this plant with just about any food available. Hell even that tomato feed at Wal-Mart will work perfectly fine. The plant is only going to take up what it needs.

That is a nice setup on a budget, but you don't want your water source next to the stem, could cause rot. If you can afford it I would look into Blumats, they really are a game changer.
