Believe me, I've dreamed up the extravagant -- remote controlled awnings that I can expand and retract from anywhere whenever the rain is coming. The cost just doesn't justify it - I never use the damn deck except for growing :lol:

Yeah I'm confined to our newly renovated 2nd story deck, so I can't go drilling holes everywhere to secure some frankenstein contraption. Aesthetics are also important to me and this kind of thing is about as minimal and visually unoffending as I can find.

Does anyone have experience building a makeshift rain cover for Sept/Oct...or does such a thing exist for growers out of the box? I'm not trying to build a greenhouse or anything elaborate, just looking to prop up a 10' x 10' canopy kind of thing with a clear tarp so the plants can still get sun...

Does it matter if the clear tarp is a little frosted like that? Does that block/reduce the sunlight or does it not make a difference?

From what I understand, self seeding autos will most likely produce auto seeds, but I suppose there’s always room for genetic mutations depending on how far back the line goes…

@curious2garden if I knew what I did to get 17+ mature seeds out of this plant I'd tell you. If it's a genetic predisposition, well that might explain why these were 'give-away' free seeds from Seedsman. Pretty stoked to have an abundance of these seeds now, regardless.
