Not really sure. Only way I'd catch a lobster is in a trap. I don't put my body in the ocean anymore. Me and my wife came very close to a bad situation with a Tiger shark in Hawaii.

I'm out on Catalina for vacation this week. Had some good fun fishing the kelp beds around the island. We rented a small 20 hp boat and a drop rig. Then went off to catch whatever bit. The teeth on some of these fish are just insane.

I always feel that when I am taking a leak while doing the dangle I have a higher confidence factor in catching a fish. I've caught quite a few bass and stripers mid stream.

I just gave away a reel and rod so I could go buy another rod and reel. I get it lmao

So I set the hook and thought "great I missed another one" next thing i know this little guy is at my feet. Then his momma came to play.

Swim jig in all different parts of the water column and of course some hopping off the bottom as well. This bit was a mixture of both. Bouncing it along a shallow shelf into a deep drop-off. That's when it bit.
