My vote is on the Speedster as it sounds to be a current/power regulation issue, though perhaps not. The Speedster is not UL or CA listed + made in China... you really have no idea of which components they put in there nor how well they will work... they don't even bother rating the unit...

I think your screwed based upon the limitations imposed. That closet is going to get damn hot as all that heat is just going to collect & build upon itself... a 600 + ballast will pump out some btu's. Venting is going to be necessary, so cutting a hole in the drywall or running vent tubing...

Just my opinion, but slightly misinformed. However, it WAS good for insulating between the temp differences outside (either really hot or really cold). So, I was able to better control my inside temps. Peace.

It is far easier to do once you chop... but, this only really plays out if you have a shit load (several elbows). Otherwise, leave them on there as it will S L O W your dry time by a good day or two, which makes it smoke smoother. Then jar cure & enjoy the results. Peace.

Check out some video of flir imaging... seriously, you have no issues whatsoever. Yes, the copters have them, but they can't see into the house at all (period). Works based on temp differences in the IR range... if you had a really hot air vent from the ceiling vs colder outside air temps...
