I'll tell you why, in regards to the libertarian party: Most Americans REJECT their platform is why. You'll want to knw why that is too so... Nobody votes for libertarians (like Ron "stormfront" Paul) because they're half-liberal. They're only fiscally conservative and the liberals hate them...
