i have tried that and it works okay, but doesnt work ideal for my situation. 1kw is cooled just fine. my real question is about the res. should i get a freezer and ditch the basic res? im sure with the simple insulation in the freezer it would help vs the garbage can i am using.

its an active aqua 1/2 hp. specs per 1kw is supposed to be 1/4hp. so i am right on with a half hp. i have learned that these chillers arent as efficient as their us or canadian made counterparts. Im trying to make due with what i have and maximise the efficiency of my electricity usage.

slightly higher for the 1k's say 6-8" depending on how you are planning on cooling them. good reflectors are made to have the ability to be very close to the plants without burning them as long as they are air cooled. you may be able to better cover your area using less wattage via one light...

the 120/240 models of either brand are the way to go. that way you have the most flexibility out of your ballast.

word! got to love the stinkbud type systems. i say keep the light mover and try to do 3 600w and make sure ya run em @220 for best use of electricity. and much better coverage with a 3rd light. if you cant add that light, get some badass reflectors, like the 8" magnum xxl !!! its bamf more pics...

grape sweet very similar results. wanna bump it up a notch? toss the sweet and swap it for the gen hydro's floranectar, they have regular, and now pineapple. MMMuch better than sweet.

thank you Mcgician for the input. magnum 8" with an 8" icebox would be ideal. but 8" iceboxes aren't in production yet... or aren't readily available. and strains vary from 9-11 week flower times. mostly sativa dominant. my only indica dom strain is blueberry.
