    Hygrozyme

I'm kind of curious, is hygrozyme really necessary for clones? From what I've read it's a bunch of enzymes that break down all the dead organic matter, i.e. dead roots which can cause problems later in the system. I'm sure there's something i'm missing so if someone with good knowledge on...

    Hygrozyme

Do you have an airstone in your cloner? Or just the pump circulating water? That to me seems like a more ideal time if you have only a 15 minute interval timer! I'm no pro by far, but I swear every thread I've read about problems with roots not growing or turning brown has been a lack of...

    rep help

Just wondering why it is I can't see the symbol to click on and give someone rep for a post? I've seen the pics of where it should be, but there's no button for me to click on.....

    Hygrozyme

Do you have an airstone in your cloner? They might not be getting enough air. As far as times, I've heard 1 min on 5 mins off is a good schedule for most aeroponics. If your roots are going brown that would be a sign of over watering to me, not under watering....especially if they get sprayed...

    Thanks all for great info!

Ah somebody understood what I meant! Yeah I think you're right, growing in sets of 3 does seem to maximize the canopy coverage and grab more light. I would LOVE to clone this one and keep it as a mother, however, it hasn't shown sex yet! It's a random seed I had so I'm crossing my fingers it's a...

    Thanks all for great info!

random question...but I wouldn't think so....unless you have a strain that has a tendency to flower real easy.

    I think its a male

I hate to say it, but the moment I saw that second picture it screamed MALE! Looks like the males I grew in my first few attempts...but I hope I'm wrong dude!

DWC Cloner, air pump too weak?

How big is the airstone? It sounds like the pump you bought is too small, a 10 gallon airpump is one of the smallest they make...I wouldn't cheap out on the airpump when it comes to clones, they love the oxygen, ESPECIALLY when they are submerged in water. The last thing you want is rot or...

    Thanks all for great info!

Heh that guy was funny, some cool info but man was he baked hahaha :joint:. So you think the actinic is putting out UVB? Definitely sounds like a fair argument about the UVB... I've heard about the sand thing, but to be honest I'm scrapping all my soil as soon as I harvest the one plant, I...

    Thanks all for great info!

Heh, you sure you'd want to? The actinic was a lot cheaper than the phillips HO....which is why it makes me believe the 10k isn't as good as using 3k or 4.8k spectrums.....can't find much on the forum about the actinics though. The grotek neem oil is apparently quite poisonous as well, at least...

My DYI 80 Site Aero Cloner

Awesome cloner, quick question, does the pump run 24/7 or is it on a timer?

    Thanks all for great info!

You've probably already tried it, but woods insecticide along with grotek neem oil has worked really well killing spider mites for me. The woods kills the adults while the neem seems to kill the eggs quite effectively. I started out just using safers insecticidal soap as I was scared of harsh...

    Thanks all for great info!

Yeah, I didn't really want to use them to flower myself, forced into it since I have to get rid of all the dam bugs in the soil grrr. The bulbs I'm using are 3 philips f24/t5/841 HO, they are 4100k bulbs each making 2000 lumens. I actually thought they were a warmer light before looking up the...
