A 400 HID will draw about 4 amps. Open your breaker box and check what size breaker goes to the grow. Most are 15 or 20 amp. So two 400 HID's and some fans adds up to 10 amps. Thats about max to safetly use on a 15 amp breaker.

Start with what others have suggested. Seal the best you can and replace your carbon. Carbon only last a couple grows or much less if the room has high humidity. Buy some peletized bituminum based carbon not granular or coco based carbons. If your scrubber is filtering room air this will help...

What exactly are you using? Carbon scrubber? filter? What size? Type & size of fan? If i knew more i could help. (FYI) If you have the largest carbon scrubber knownn to man you shouldn't have any smell problems.
