Well the biggest is best if yield is a factor, but a nice 18gal one is best. Grow Big and bloom, you don't need Tiger Bloom. The roots will take over the tub not just a couple inches

Yes theres a difference, hydro can be very harsh if not flushed correctly and is still kinda funny tasting compared to soil. Hydro has faster growth but is easy to burn.
