alright well a little more progress on the light. here ya go.

Oh snap I got a little work done today. Not much but got everything mocked up and now just need to cut a hole, attach the fixture and put some more lights in. YEAH. I'm gettin so pumped for this.

I thought that al. foil was a decent reflector? Its no mylar, but will it work for low budget reasons? As in the area will be lined with it.

Another thing... It says chrome finish and I know that mirrors are terrible to use as a reflecting agent, but i want to know if I should put aluminum foil on it and not have the chrome showing.

Hey all. I was starting a custom CFL setup and found this light for 12.99. It's the kind you see in bathrooms. Is a light like this able to be wired so I can run it on a timer in an outlet?

I need a little clarification. Since CFLs are energy efficient, and 26w = 100w would it take 4 CFLs to use that much wattage?

Here's s slight update. I took measurements of the area I'll be working with and it is L=36" W=15" H=42" I need to figure out what lengths the bends should be for the reflector. ANYONE?

Good inspiration! I love custom work. Makes you feel better and I'm sure even better when you get quality goods from it. Im going to be starting my project within the week. 3rd shift sucks and the baby has priority.

My plan is to have the 6 lights for 3 plants. I just figure if I'm going to have the plants in a line, I might as well have the lights in a line too. I got the aluminum for 20 bucks and maybe 10 bucks for the other parts.
