Harvest Pro Red Line 2 x 1000 Watt Switchable Ballast

Bump for response ... does no one have any knowledge on these ballasts? Should I try a post under a different subject?

Harvest Pro Red Line 2 x 1000 Watt Switchable Ballast

I have some questions about this dual output ballast. First of all, has anyone tried this product, or any other dual output ballast that can light 2x 1000w at once? According to the specs, the power consumption on this it seems like it only uses 1000W at 240V like a regular 1 bulb ballast. I...

    Optimum Ventilation setup

The damper closes to prevent outside air from coming into the system during lights out. This will help with temp control and condensation. Here is a link to an awesome electronic damper: http://www.bghydro.com/BGH/Itemdesc.asp?ic=AFASCD06C&eq=&Tp= As you can see in the pic on my previous...

    Optimum Ventilation setup

If you are using CO2 the room should be sealed except for the light intake and exhause. Below is an example as to how the light vent should be hooked up. Be sure to use insulated ducting to avoid condensation

    Warehouse Grow

I am usally a hydro guy however thats alot of trays and pumps .. I might consider a soil/drip system to make some monster plants if you need to have low numbers.

Spider Mites that Won't Go Away

I have never had a spider mite problem however here is a rumor I heard. Rumor: You can release a toxic amount of CO2 (11,000PPM) into your grow room for a short time (20 mins) and it will kill anything that is non plant life. As always don't just run off and try some idea some pothead...

Help Me Build My SUBPANEL? Electric Question?

I am not an electrician but yes you can run your lights on 240v and use half the amps however you are charged by the watt so at 120v @ 6amp or 240v @ 3 amp (does not matter) the "cost of power" difference is nothing. All it really means is that you can hook up more devices per port on 240 cause...

Need help with venting/fans please +rep

I use a 500CFM (+/- 50 cannot remember exact specs) for x2 600W HPS lights. I also run it over 40 feet so I need the juice. *EDIT I do turn the fans on way low during the winter to prevent condensation, and on high as needed during the summer for cooling with a fan speed control switch.

Help Me Build My SUBPANEL? Electric Question?

Well the simply answer would be a for a 100A panel (120v devices), x2 30A ports for the lights (2 lights per port) and x2 20A ports for every thing else. I would set the AC and the dehumidifier up on a tempture control relay so only one is ever running at once (since they both dehumidify)...

    Insulating A Growroom

If you have a clothes dryer you should be able to patch your light exhaust in there and expel the hot air without looking suspicious. I dont know where you live and if washer/dryer systems are common where you come from, if they are and even if you dont have a clothes dryer - you could install a...

    yellowing/dry leaves

I dont think its actually THE soil that is the problem, its more whats in the soil. As long as the soil isn't packed and the roots are not bound the actual medium itself shouldn't matter too much (I actually use no medium) You are looking at a nute/PH problem, plain and simple. Flush, flush...

    condensation..

You need to have insulated ducting going up and keep going so the air is expelled directly to the outside. It must be insulated otherwise the ducting will also condense. It might be easier to expel the air going down under the house and attach it to the dryer's exhaust to make everything look...

    Insulating A Growroom

AC would work to cool the room, but you need to realize that even AC has an exhause that needs to be expelled. Also, if they actually see you running an AC sticking out the window during the winter that is much more suspicious than a "warm room" or even a basic exhaust. They might be able to...

    lights stayed on

They might be fine. From here on out check them every day to make sure you don't have hermies. Ive had the power go out before so my plants went 36 hrs with no light and they actually turned out fine.

    yellowing/dry leaves

More times then not when problems start with the tip of the leaves and work their way in its a nute problem, it's either too much, not enough, or your PH is not set correctly so the plant cannot absorb the nutes it needs. As others have said - they look either burnt or they are suffering nute...

    Heat Issue in Sealed Room

    1. Doesn't outside air have lots of CO2 so it would actually be adding CO2 when adding fresh air to the grow room? Or will the generated CO2 in the room escape from the air being blown into the room? Outside air usually has a ppm of 300-350. You will indeed be adding CO2 into the room if its...

    Heat Issue in Sealed Room

oh, and you can probably emilimate the condensation on the fan and duct by insulating it. This will make the "outside" of the fan the same temp as "inside" the fan and thus eliminate the condensation. It will however create humitity in your room because the moisture will need somewhere to go.

    Heat Issue in Sealed Room

Are you running all lights at once? One way you could cool it is to set up some dividers to have like 2 flower areas and only run 3 lights at a time on like flip flops 12/12 or something. That right there will reduce 1/2 of the heat your lights are putting out at any given time. I also run a...

    Humidity and lights

Sorry for leaving you hanging the last time.... Again, humidity should not going to be a problem whatsoever while your lights are on. The bulb and any part of the metal socket are just too hot for any water to condense on it - it will evaporate immediately. If you are truly concerned what I...
