Best possible thing for your plants.

So then... Foliar feeding (with weak nutrients) TLC (i'm sure everyone can agree is one of the MOST important) Foxfarm nutrients (quality ones of course) Rainwater (unless in a smog filled city) Fans (great for co2 circulation, heat dispersion, plant toughening... all in all very useful)...

    How to reach max potential?

You should still just grow it under the 400watter... if you keep them close to it they will grow like bushes, if you use the fluorescent they will grow like pinetrees... sure it costs more in electricity but the plants dont stretch as much and the lower buds grow heavier because they are able to...

Best possible thing for your plants.

Well this thread is simple... i want everyone to post what they consider the greatest thing they use for growing that makes a huge difference. Whether it be a soil, fertilizer, rooting hormone, technique... anything. The point is to build a compendium of the greatest products of their kind...

    How to reach max potential?

Forget the veg light, just grow it under the HPS... 400 watts is overkill for 1 plant. I grew my first plant to 1 1/2 feet under 50 watts of cfls and then flowered with a 150watt hps... i finished with a 3 1/2 foot plant that gave about 1 1/2 ounces dry. I've been vegging its clone under the HPS...

    Help mold!

I just harvested yesterday and put some nicely trimmed buds into a 1/2 pint jar, i left the cover off and put it in the drawer of a wooden dresser. Today my lovely buds that smelt so great are kinda smelling like tomatoes today, and most of the trichomes which were clear have turned an almost...

    Amber or Not so Amber?

Well I bought myself some Strawberry Cough to grow... It's supposed to take 8-9 weeks to be ready. I'm at week 9 or 10 (It's been just over 2 months, so i'm assuming I'm at just under 70 days) and the trichomes are still clear/milky. My brother in law (Who smokes a lot of pot and knows lots of...

    Lights on or off?

So i've done my fair share of research into growing, harvesting, and curing... I've come all this way and now I have that one issue that i've been wondering all along... Do I dry it with lights on or off? Does it matter? Does it have to be dark for the chlorophyl to begin to die when I begin to...

    Light Cycles for automatic flowering?

I'd say 2 weeks before switching to the HPS(just so that the seedling light comes to SOME use). But that is only if you intend to flower after about 4 weeks of veg. Also definitely bring that light lower, put it about 1 1/2 feet from the top of the plants and lower it an inch a day until 6...

    Opinions please?

My idea was originally to grow 4 or 9 plants under a 250w HPS. Well it turns out my Strawberry Cough mother/test-grow likes to grow really long... 3 feet to be exact when I started to flower 2 weeks ago at 1 1/2 feet. I ended up buying a 150w hps for the flowering and it's only really causing...

    Proper Nutrients???

You wont need nutrients for a while. I used 2 part Scotts potting mix(has miracle grow in it I think) and 1 part vermiculite. The thing held water like all hell. All I can say though is that the plant took nutrients fine(all I ever had was an occasional speck of yellow/brown on tips when I'd...

    Clone Help

You might want to cut that half an inch below the 3rd node. Cut the leafs off the 3rd node and dip it an inch into rooting gel so that the 3rd node is in the middle. Then put it 3/4-1 inch into the rockwool. Trim the leafs on the 2nd node. Keep temps around 65-80 degrees and you'll see growth...

    Clone Help

too much foliage in my opinion. When i make my clones i leave only the top and a node below it, with the bottom leafs cut in half(missing their tips)

    Clone Help

oh and the BIGGEST thing i found out... is where the roots come from. they eventually come out of the stem but the first place they come out is where the leafs were cut off. Cut about half an inch below a node and then cut the leafs off of that node. Make sure the gel gets on the part of the...

    Clone Help

you should spray onto the cover of the biodome so that there is a lot of humidity in there. Humidity is one of the biggest issues. Also make sure the rockwool is soaked. Take off the biodome once a day and spray the lid again(to let fresh air in and so that it wont stay dry. Wet the rockwool if...

    Gnats!

will that really help the the larvae crawling around my roots? last time i had gnats i had their baby-worms crawling everywhere. That may handle the adults but will they die off before they can keep reproducing or will i constantly have the larvae?

what are these white bugs in my grow room

what on earth did that guy say.... it wasn't english at all. You have white fly's. They can mess up your crop if left alone. Personally black flys/gnats have always been 10x worse for me, if you get those you're mostly screwed. The most effective way to kill them is to get predator wasps(i...

    Gnats!

I've had an occasional white fly that i've killed, never got out of hand. 1-2 days ago i found a gnat/black fly and now i have atleast 5 hiding around the plant(killed another 5 today). They are definately beyond control now just from killing. My baby is almost 2 weeks into flower and its mostly...

    Any Germination Secrets?

Myself and many people have had great success with just peat moss pellets. They are little peatmoss chips about 1/4 of an inch thick that soak up water and become about 1 1/2 inches thick. I find it works much better than using soil because it has no nutrients to mess with the seedling so there...

I TRUELY have a plant problem

My plant is way too big. I was growing some strawberry cough... my first and only feminized seed that grew. I grew it for 2 months in about 1 1/2 gallons of soil under 3200 lumens until it was 2 feet(it completely outgrew the soil by halfway through the second month). I waited so long to flower...
