    Reliable ppm chart for marijuana??

I think these charts are incredibly misleading. They are only meant to be a guide and are not set in stone! You need to learn to read your plants and interpret what the signs are telling you i.e. whether it needs more nitrogen or some other macro or micro nutrient. Different strains/phenos will...

Can I use seaweed extract and fulvic acid in NFT?

I've seen quite a few hydroponic nutrient/additive formulations that contain both seaweed extract and fulvic acid. I'm going to be using the Lucas ratio of GHE Flora nutrients so I was wondering, can I add concentrated seaweed extract that I have stored away and some fulvic acid which is...

is miracle grow seed starting soil safe?

^ Sorry but that's rubbish. If the Miracle Grow where you live (I assume in the US) resembles anything like the MG we have here in the UK, it is NOT suitable for growing cannabis in! Miracle Grow have a piss poor reputation and should be avoided at all costs IMO.

What size pots do you use to pot up in?

Finally, someone that knows what they're doing! This business of just planting directly into massive containers pretty much straight away is very poor practise!

Has anyone tried Canadian Xpress Bio Balancer?

I've just purchased Canadian Xpress Bio Balancer, which contains microorganisms and encourages their growth. I intend to use this in my NFT system (a GT424) since I've been looking for a such a product manufactured by a reputable company. Their successful product, Regen-a-Root root stimulant...

Yes. Normally you start using the bloom nutrient when switching to 12/12 to help encourage a flowering response.

Are you using two part nutrients? If so you need to switch to the bloom formulation when you switch to 12/12.

25 Years old Seed! Need Help!

Forget this nonsense of putting seeds in paper towels. Put it straight into some moist compost and sieve some fine compost over the top so that it's lightly covered and lightly water with tap water. Leave it in a warm place until it germinates and then put it under some CFL lights. The paper...

Sorry it must be an american thing. In the UK when we say compost in this context we mean things like peat-based potting mix etc.

Yes but you've never potted up so how do you know the problems might not be immediately apparent to the naked eye?

What size pots do you use to pot up in?

And here's a post by the legendary Oldtimer1: A plant needs to build as large a rootmass as possible from an early stage, this gives sturdy plants full of vitality, this is why when growing in compost we recommend starting in small pots and as soon as the compost is full of roots pot on to a...

What size pots do you use to pot up in?

FFS, why can't I edit my posts? If you care about yield then potting up will help. Potting up gradually will build a dense rootball and more yield when you flower. If you put a plant straight into a pot that is too big for it then you can have problems with the soil going mouldy and sour.

What size pots do you use to pot up in?

I can't edit my post. I just wanted to add: Obviously you can grow without doing this but you'll get better results if you do, especially if you're going into large pots which hold more compost that is more susceptible to going off.

What size pots do you use to pot up in?

^ No you do need more than two pots (although you could get away with fewer than five obviously). Potting up is a necessary horticultural technique that's been used for many years. If you don't pot up like you're supposed to the compost that's not being used by the roots can become sour...

What size pots do you use to pot up in?

For compost I use the following, in the order I use them: A small 8cm pot for seedling --> 1L --> 3L --> 6L --> 11L I am planning on going from 1L to 15L (Autopot) when using coco. I was wondering what size pots you use?

Could you use clear 150w normal bulbs?

You can get away with using CFLs for the vegetative stage and although not as good as HIDs the plants will grow. However, during flower if you do not use HIDs you will end up with air bud, however it will work, just not very well IMO.
