You are mostly correct. In a few states (Oregon for one) juries need only 9-3 to convict. A wise thing to do is to carry a copy of the jury nullification section in one's wallet or purse. That way it can be introduced into evidence if arrested. Otherwise, most jurists suppose they must convict.
