    Drying Big Fat 10 Inchers

Is there any tips one can give for drying out those big fat colas? My last grow I got some mold in my buds and eventually my whole stash was ruined with what smelled like homeless guys' sweat socks.

first cfl grow... just want opinions from experienced people

You need to be feeding it. Be careful not to overfeed. Water when needed. Don't overwater. Start at about half strength when you water. A deep watering is much better than multiple shallow waterings. If the plant tolerates, you can increase a little more. 7-6-5 is not the best for flowering...

New grower and new cfl grow

Don't dump the fans! Air circulation is as good as fertilizer. I had one near the top of the grow to move the hot air down. One in the middle to give the leaves a breeze. And a small one to blow across the soil after I watered. The small one keeps bugs from making my soil a landing strip. My...

My first grow is going swell!

Yeah, the square ones look like they save space. I went to a grow shop. They acted snooty and their prices were embarrassing. I do all my grow shopping at WalMart and Homedepot and Dollar Stores. Like what did you pay for those pots? I got 3 gallon trash cans for a buck each, and melted holes...

    Why would you buy regular?

Two reasons why I buy regular seeds; 1. My first experienced teacher in the art of growing said, femmed seeds produce hermies. 2. People have told me that regular seeds are close to 3/4 female anyhow. My heart has been broken too many times with balls, that I may be changing my mind.

Cfl yield per plant? whats everybody getting these days

I had 320 watts of pure CFL power, power, power! I vegged two plants for four weeks and now in week 9 since the switch to 12/12. I harvested the lower branches of plant #1 and cane up with 24 grams of nugey goodness. Figuring the bottom branches were no more than half the plant, and that...

Let's Talk About Flowering With Tubes

Before CFLs I would use tubes. One plant at a time. One double tube fixture across and up to four vertically. Close as possible. Kept me in low orbit for many years. One tip; Replace the fixtures after every grow- the ballasts grow weak.

first cfl grow... just want opinions from experienced people

Yeah, 6-8 weeks. Like he said. I would look at chopping two of three and just go with one. They'll start chocking out each other. Get some fertilizer that dissolves in water. Something like 10-10-10 will do this time. Mix at half strength and water plants as needed. And a small fan will be needed.

first cfl grow... just want opinions from experienced people

Shitty CFLS are the best CFLs. I am near the finish of my 3 month grow, and have already harvested some. From what I harvested and dried, I figure I will easily get 100 grams (4 ounces). I grew with 320 watts of shitty CFLs (that will later be used throughout the house). 25C (77F) is ideal...

New grower and new cfl grow

I think this is going to be a nice CFL grow. Less trouble not trying to work in a sealed box. I always start out making it a sealed grow, but eventually I just open the doors and let the girls get some air. I grow in my basement, in a room, in a closet, with a curtain, too. I don't worry about...

First grow with CFL - Need help

Everytime you water with fertilized soil, it releases nutrients, N-P-K. Water too much and you'll have too much N-P-K. Of the two plants, I have taken all the lower branches off of one. That seems to be around 20 grams dried, and am baking with it as I write. I have removed most of the lights...

First grow with CFL - Need help

You transplanted at a good time. Not too overgrown. If you transplant too early, the soil falls apart in your hands. I use cheap trashcans for pots. Drill holes in the bottom. Use them around the house when done growing. The point of CFL grows is to keep it cheap. I want to get two uses for...

Not a dumb ass. Just like most of the people here, that's all. You didn't just bury the whole plant, did ya? Now that would be dumb-assy.

My first grow is going swell!

My suggestion/complaint/observation: Why do so many here not fill their pots up with soil? Afraid of wasting it? What? That area from the top of the soil to the top of the pot is now filled with dead, dark, damp air- a perfect place for bugs and molds. I don't get it. Another suggestion: Those...

    time for a trim

Why is there such a deep space from the soil to the lip of the pot? That is dead damp air perfect for growing bugs and molds.
