Couple of people I know started out with MG and had very successful crops. You just have to be careful. Tip - If using MG, I would Flush, Flush, Flush the soil before using it. Should take some of those time released nutrient away.

Adding the HPS will increase temps. Do you have an Inline Fan? If not, I would go the T5 route just for temperatures. If you can maintain temps, I think HPS is the way to go. I Love T5 lighting, Especially the Par, but for the price of HID's now a days. I think it's the best route.

if you can up your budget to 350. you can get a 6" inline fan and filter.

Just have some basic air circulation around the fixture and the plant. and all will be good. T5 runs much much cooler than a 600w

You will literally have Zero Yield with 1 26w CFL. Especially the wrong spectrum for flowering. Go pick yourself up some CFl's (2700k) and start 12/12 You can get a 4 pack of 23w or 26w (2700k) at homedepot for less than 10 bucks.

Make sure you let us know the final dry weight as well

Can't tell you much without any pics! If you have salt buildup then yes. Flush once now. But you don't want to give any nutes last 2 weeks of flower. That's when you flush
