I doubt they sent a few cars and a heli on a tip from a neighbor just for a couple plants. It wouldn't hurt to be a little more secrative about it...

Soft or cool white will be in the lower K. Warm white is getting near 4000k. Bright white or daylight is up there. It should give either a k rating or color temp in soft,warm or bright somewhere on the box. EDIT: the only 26W 1700 lum general purpose cfl bulbs on GE's site lists them at 2700k.

Wrong spectrum for flowering,and agree with wbw, no do not try to put a hps bulb in there. You're better off with a hps ballast. That way you can use one ballast to run a MH for veg and HPS for flower. Electric Digital ballast if you want one more efficient on electricity and output loss.

I'm not sure of sex. May still be a bit early, but pic #2 could be fm but still too early to know 100%. As for the terd, my vote is on caterpillar or you have the worlds smallest midget shitting on your plants.

You can veg with it but I think the color spectrum is a bit too blue for flowering. Most mbf bulbs are around the 4000k range. However, some swear by going the entire grow with MH which is in the blue spectrum. Maybe throw in some 2700k cfls for flower, but I can't say for sure what the results...

Can't tell by those pics. It doesn't appear to be, just looks like new growth. Get some pics around the nodes toward the top of the plant and not just pics of the actual top. We're looking for pistils.

That's not right. They do have an odor even at an early veg state. It's nothing compared to a flowering plant, but they do give off a unique smell. When in flower, they REALLY start to smell and if you're worried about smell giving you away, you'll have to incoorperate some type of odor control.
