ok, i set the MH lamp up to 4 feet from the tops. i couldn't fit the shop lights, my cab is only 42" x 30". When should I start lowering the lamp?

i was thinking about setting up a scrog grow in an old night stand starting them off with 2x100w MH bulbs and moving to one MH and 150w HPS for flower... can anyone direct me to thread about smaller grows, I am concerned about dissipating heat in such a tight space.

just clip all the male parts and keep a close eye on the plants. make sure the male parts don't fully mature and it should be ok.

is it safe to have new seedlings under a 600 watt MH? the lamp is 36" above the tops of the seedlings. The reflector is air cooled and my temp is ~77-80F.

Since you are going 'dro you should invest in a reverse osmosis water filter or a distiller since it will become hard to determine the PPM for nutes in tap water. I don't have much else for advice since I use soil.

I'm new to the board as well, but have tried the closet before. I failed miserably the first 2 time I attempted to grow. I learned an important lesson, don't rush anything. Be patient and it will pay off.
