ive transferred soil to hydro before. i use netpots and rockwool generally. In reference to that question, I cut a one inch slab of rockwool and put it on the bottom of the netpot, take the rootball and trim the roots to fit the remaining area of the cup, and set it on top. the roots will grow...

Leaf curling upwards 32 days into flowering

thats from nute burn. the plant is stressed, either from the nutes or from the transplant. try taking it easy for a while. The next thing you will see is browning tips. Give them a little vitamins. use sparingly, as anything can be overdone.

66 site hydro started, opinions please.

the best solution is an ac/dehumidifier. since a dehumidifier is the same thing. just look for the combo ones on line. this will solve both problems. you will have major heat issues if you dont have an ac unit- thats a lot of heat your going to be producing. stinky.

make sure you use a dehumidifier in your room. you will have mold and smell issues otherwise. you need to keep the humidity below 55% or your charcoal filter will not work. also, keeping the temp in the low 70's will keep the smell from being an issue. good luck man. dont get caught with that...

    What about moonlight?

moonlight slows growth. during full moons, the growth is slowed the most. plants grow best outside mainly because of the SUN, which is more powerful than any indoor lights, and do not decrease in strength farther from the source as indoor lighting does. Greenhouses which can block light...

How can u tell if ur clones took root?

if they are wilting you need to increase the humidity in the chamber. Ive mastered the cloning process and have a 90% survival rate. most pop visible roots in 14 days. Very simple: you need to have your cloning chamber in a seperate room from your other plants, because the humidity is too low...

    Theorically Double THC-content

i know an old grower who has been growing on a large scale in dirt for over thirty years. His method gets insane results. Ive seen pics of his first and second cuts, and he yeilds more on his second cut than the first. The important thing is to find a plant that has tons of bud sites. His method...

    Height Control

you could train the branches along the netting, basically growing them horizontally. I am constantly pruning in veg stages as well, so they get to bush out like mad. The best way to control them is just to flower them at the right time. (12-24 inches) I dont really worry about how big the plant...

A Theory For You to Consider

yeah, i do basically that idea. i bought steel racks from costco that have adjustable heights and i basically created a hallway out of them. i have a vertical air cooled tube with 3 600 hps and i hung it vertically on a light mover. The light column moves down the hallway with plants on either...

    Increased Lighting in Flower Period

in anything, just increase the number of lights in your room! try finding some LED's to supplement lighting. I use three 600 hps in a air cooled glass tube and two are very close to eachother. i have racks and the lights hang vertically on light movers so the lights hit both sides...i dont use a...

    Increased Lighting in Flower Period

i wouldnt try it bud. the plant will be forced back into vegging mode and will be confused. it may even go hermie on you. I sometimes put a budding plant back in veg and it stops growing bud.

    The Dark Flush

yes, ive done this for years. actually, putting the plants in the dark is beneficial because the working nutrients and materials the bud use for growing go into the stems at night. I generally flush for two weeks in tap water and then put them in a dark room with no water for two days (i grow...

    Smells like hay. HELP!!!

dont worry. just hang them for 1-3 days until relatively dry. they wont smell until they cure properly in jars for about 2 weeks. fill your jar halfway up and seal it. open daily for a few minutes. once you jar them the water will start to come out of the stems and the bud will be moist again...

    Heat stress, ph maybe? help!

you are growing sativas i noticed. Sativas like to have alternating high and low nutrient solutions. just make sure you ph balance your water. Ive noticed they will stop growing if you give them full nutes all the time. They really bust out if i flush them for a week about every three weeks in...

    What Ever Happened to Fogponics

the great thing about foggers is the fact that they break down water molecules into microns, which are small enough to readily penetrate roots through osmosis. Also, you can use 10% of the normal amount of nutrients. THe biggest problem people have is putting their fogger directly into their...

What happens if you dont flush the last week?

the plant will also have an extra growth spurt if you flush at the right time. the water will tell the plant it needs to put all its remaining energy into creating flowers as fast as possible. After flushing for one to two weeks, i will then let the plant dry completely out and dry out somewhat...

3600 watts for 4x4 space... too much?

if you look at the photosythesis curve of plants and the curves of blue and red led's, they overlap almost perfectly. They are super efficient, and since they dont waste light the plant cant use, they work very well. they also last about 15 years of continuous use...i think you overpaid though...

3600 watts for 4x4 space... too much?

LED's are definately a good supplemental light. They will speed bud dev. and increase yeilds but its important to also have HPS. I bought a bunch of red led's from the department of agriculture....got 30 discs of 500 lights each for only $20 bucks a pop. I did two grows. one had just leds, the...
