Me I'd put them on 18/6 if you really want them to grow fast. The dark period is when they do their stretching so if you want those two sites to grow quicker I would suggest giving them a couple more hours of darkness. 20/4 is good too but those two extra hours imo do add some noticeable growth.

Storing is curing without taking the lid off that's the only difference. Once enough moisture has left the bud it is no longer considered curing and has begun its storing stage. Do you cure in separate containers or do you "store" in the same jars you cured in?

71 days from first day of 12/12 or 71 days since you saw pistils growing? There is a huge difference in the two. Personally I don't start counting days until I have confirmed pistils growing out. This can take anywhere from 3-15 days to happen that's why it matters when you started counting.

Water curing won't cause mold if you follow the directions and let them hang dry for 48 hours. I did a water cure one time and at the end the buds were very light on flavor, but they did have a pretty good punch to them in the "high" department. It's worth a try if you have enough buds to run...
