I had a MH bulb catch fire on me after a hot start once. I was new to the game and didnt know that the bulbs needed a cool down period. Tripped over the cord..knocked it out then immediately plugged it back in. So i guess i would add power outages to the list of things to be concerned about...

I always assumed that you get a temp reading at your canopy and lower the light until it hits 80. Could be wrong though.

thanks. thats what i thought. it just sucks that the costs never stop. it sounds like hids may be a bit cheaper to use. I hear you can get a good two grows atleast out of hids so if you buy a 600w bulb for say $50 how many 42w cfls can you get for $50? 6- i think. That's only about 250...

Autos are perfect for filling in that left over space in your veg room but their biggest advantage is to the outdoor grower. Only reaching about 20-30" tall theyre the ultimate stealth plant. And i cant speak for any other auto strain but the LR2 pack a fuckin punch.

yea dude, get you some black painters plastic and make a little light proof section in the corner of your tent. just make sure you got some air flow. I'm surprised they dont sell a light proof dry net considering most people i assume dry their buds in their tent with their filter.
