Sounds like if you cant definitely say they are too wet then they are more on the dry side I'd put them in jars like the bros are suggesting and add rice .if the next day they are wet then paper bag.rice acts as an absorbent so even over night if it is too wet then it is being absorbed by the rice

On this note I normally slide hole lot out of pot and sub merge in clean container with ph'd water and gently agitate right round the soil with my hands till it's all come away from the roots then separate and plant and if you're temp is ideal then I dont get much stunting .if at all.just my...
