    Cold Air Ventilation

awesome.. thanks again keeger. one last question for you if you happen to come back again... do i need a separate motor for each light on that rail OR will the 1 motor move both lights if I get the "add a light" system?

What exactly is this and will it work?

I have a lot of space. That is not an issue. I have in fact read up on most of the different systems. I considered going with a drip system, but from everything I have read, aeroponics is the most efficient and effective. Ultimately I want to get as much bang for my buck as possible. So...

What exactly is this and will it work?

Yeah? So maybe 2 or 3 T5's for veg? Or possibly a 400/600w HID? What type of hydro system are you using or would yo recommend? thx

What exactly is this and will it work?

A lot of people refer to this as an Aeroponics system, but I think (from my reading) that this is not an accurate description of the system I am thinking of using. 1st, I'd like to bounce my ideas on my overall set up and plans off of some of you: I will run 3x1000w. 2 will be for flowering...

Experienced Electrician! Here to Answer Any and All Growroom Electrical Questions

Yeah? Over and beyond on a 20amp if I have just ONE 1000w light on it? I also have a 240 in my laundry room for my drier and it is only about 20' from my grow room. Is there some way an electrician can just pull from that and set me up with a 240 plug in my room? Even if it is on the same...

Experienced Electrician! Here to Answer Any and All Growroom Electrical Questions

Question: My garage has a 20amp circuit available to it (this is the location of my tomato growing room). I would like to have THAT entire circuit for my fans, A/C, heater, pumps, etc... since there will be a lot of small things needing to be plugged in. So... In order to do this I have...

Government at its worst... monitoring your electrical usage

The Russians thought the same thing and 70million deaths later they were still being ruled by the same people that are now controlling the US government, media, and banking system. We're next on their list. We've been on it for a lot longer than most people realize.

    Area with 1000hps & mover??

Hey brother.. You helped me out in another thread already, so I hope you don't mind my asking you yet another question. I am going to get a mover for my 1000w lamp and was thinking about getting the 3' extension as well. Is 9' just too much distance? Even if I kept it running 20 or 24 hours...

    Grow 2 lbs. on a 2’ x 4’ 32 Site DIY Aeroponic Unit

9' high walls should be enough, right?

    Grow 2 lbs. on a 2’ x 4’ 32 Site DIY Aeroponic Unit

Yeah, I figured that no matter how high you built it, that they would eventually find their way down. Still though, I am building my 1st set up now and wonder if it is worth it to extend that distance as much as possible?

    Grow 2 lbs. on a 2’ x 4’ 32 Site DIY Aeroponic Unit

Right, so why not build an Aeroponics system with a VERY large gap between the pots and the gulley that the water runs through? Keep the plants/roots as far away from the water/water flow as possible. This is more of a question than a suggestion, BTW. :)

    Cold Air Ventilation

Yeah, without a doubt. I am far from being ready. I still have A LOT to learn. Step by step. Now I gotta figure out what system I will be using. Thinking of building myself an aeroponics system, but still researching and I want to make sure that I am setting up the BEST possible system...

    Cold Air Ventilation

I think I will end up pulling air IN from the crawl space and then OUT into the attic. Crawl space being about 4' high and the attic a good 8'. Think I will run it directly through my lamps and then into the room. Bypassing the garage entirely. At least this way the area surrounding my grow...

    Cold Air Ventilation

I was thinking about getting this mover: http://cheaphydroponics.com/store/view-all/intelli-drive-light-rail-3-5-6-rpm-w/-6-39-rail/prod_74.html Would it be best at 6RPM or 10RPM(same cost either way)? Also, I think I will get this extension kit as well, so I can run both of my 1000w lights...

    Cold Air Ventilation

Ahh.. I see. Very helpful post. Thanks! I think I will skip on the CO2 this 1st time. Then read up on it and maybe give it a go the 2nd time around. thanks again!

    Cold Air Ventilation

No sir... You dont sound like a smart ass at all. Makes sense. Thanks for ALL of your input.. I appreciate your taking the time to respond. cheers btw.. on a side note.. no street lights where i am at. out in the middle of nowhere. just a couple of neighbors. :)

    Cold Air Ventilation

Understood. Makes sense. Still, my main concern is the bulbs potentially bursting when that cold air hits them. Obviously it wouldnt suddenly be subfreezing air hitting an already hot lamp (sure to cause problems), since the fan will come on right away when the lights are initially turned...

    Cold Air Ventilation

OK.. So I think I will do this then: I will pull air in from outside and have it run through my lights and then send it right on back outside. Have the room sealed and release CO2 whenever the lights are on. Then, when lights are off I will set it up so that the room is ventilated. Maybe...

    Cold Air Ventilation

Humidity here is virtually zero year round. And the attic is HUGE.. so perhaps I would not have a problem with mold or mildew. I'll have to see if I can find more info on this. Thanks for the heads up. thanks for the advice on the tubing. I'll have to see if I can find the exact type you...

    Cold Air Ventilation

Yes, I will have other means of heating the room. I was just thinking that I could save that heat from the lamps rather than waste it. But if it is not wise to just let it loose directly into the room, then I wont do it. Guess I will have to experiment with it a bit. So you are suggesting...
