You don't lose your game saves, just your achievements and downloaded content... Losing your DLC would suck, but achievements wouldn't matter.

True that. Most of my friends have been banned. They just pay for another subscription and go on. The only thing is, once you mod an xbox, you can't bring it back. That doesn't mean you can't get on Xbox Live, just that it's a matter of time before you get banned again.

They do go for a lot. It's not worth it, though. You can do it yourself for next to nothing... They ban they're gamertag only. If you payed for a years worth, that's 50 dollars down the drain... not really that much, but still sucks...
