    small-ass space

dude, I went to Home Depot and got 2 , 2ft ballasts with two T12 fluorescent 24" tubes in each one. I use Philips Natural Sunshine bulbs for veging and the Plant and aquarium bulbs for flowering. They work amazing for small spaces, like mine, and yours. If you can, find a ballast that you can...

    2+ plants in one potter?

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but when most people grow hydroponicly (sp?) don't they grow multiple plants in one bath full of peatmoss or something? So if those plants can share root systems, can plants in soil share root systems? I know that they'll prob fight each other for space, nutrients, and...

    Are feminized seeds legit?

So I grew my first small personal stash of 5 plants. I went 4 weeks of vegetation and switched over to 12/12. after a week and a half, I noticed the flowers and to my very upsetting surprise, ALL OF THEM WERE MALES! I'm not all that happy about the loss so I looked into 99.9% genetically female...

Need help with vertically challenged plants

Thank you all for your input. I put a 24" flourescent tube light in there, along with a couple other CFL's, and I'm still using the LED's also. The extra light did wonders. My babies have grown almost 3 inches in 3 days, so looks like there's my problem. I need more lighting, that's all...

    vertically challenged plants

There's plenty of nodes, it's short and full. I just added more light... and they grew 1 inch in 7 hours, so I'm thinkin that was my problem. And I'll fix the foil thing for now. I'm going to build a box and paint the inside w/ Mylar, or flat white paint, one of the two. Thanx y'all.

Need help with vertically challenged plants

you're absolutely right dude. I read up more on the lighting, and realized i'm using about 800 Lux of lighting output, when I need atleast 3000 (I'd be satisfied with that because I don't want to pay out the ass in electricity) but rather I'd want like 20,000 Lux. I'll up my lighting and just...

Need help with vertically challenged plants

So I'm new to growing this but I've done more reading and research about this than I did in my college Chemistry class. I have four little ones, green as can be, healthy as ever, getting thicker by the minute, but they're short. As of today, I'm at day 25 from the time I planted the germinated...
