it's my first grow and it's bag seed so lots of unknowns and i hate to ask questions prematurely... thanks for the replies. you just reinforced what i was suspecting. I'll be patient now.

Issabelly... how's your plant doing? Curious because i'm in a similar situation... 6' tall budding space with a 400w HPS light up as high as it will go and after 11 days my girl only has 12" between her top and the light and she's growing 1"-2"/day. Wondering what on earth i'm gonna do! :(
