Ok...just received my science project and tomorrow I will prepare my cakes. Just curious...what part of the house do you feel most comfortable in while inoculating. I really don't want any contaminants...and with the family, including the dogs... well, I'm sure some of you can understand...

So...I'm about to make my cakes. I am debating going to get a PC at the Flea Mrkt. But all the ones I located where smaller. Also, is ok to use a glass top electric stove to use PC? Does anyone have any experience with just steaming in a large pot. Or any other sterilization methods?

Thanks.... Thats exactly what I was thinking. I think I can keep it pretty sterilized...I just didn't want one more thing to have to hide or possibly explain from my lil "family"

I'm about to inoculate my first mycology experiment. How many of you fellow mycologists use a glovebox for this? I saw a tek on shroomery that used just a sponge full of alcohol to inject. Anybody ever tried this?
