Phosphorus? Calcium? Is my water toxic?

Great info. Thanks. Confirms my suspicions. Sunshine #4 is peat with a little coir and perlite. It was mostly just used as as starter until I got into the ocean forest. Maybe the roots switching from one medium to to another could be giving some ph shock?

Thanks for the input. I'm going to do exactly this until the ec meter arrives.

Phosphorus? Calcium? Is my water toxic?

Hey all. Soooo, I seem to be having constant nutrient deficiency symptoms. I ph my water to 6.7. This is a blackberry kush. 5 weeks in veg. Started in sunshine mix #4 and just transplanted to FFOF 5 days ago. I have not added any fertilizer yet. Thoughts? I am starting to think my water/pipes...

I'm at a loss. Mag deficiency? Also pH problems?

Hahaha. Seriously. These forums are a hard place to obtain proper advice because you have people like 'smokegreenshit' spewing all over posts. My guess is he is still of school age.

    Flesh eating bacteria

Not really but... This necrosis has been progressing for about two weeks. I have flushed it twice with 7.0 ph water. I even checked the runoff ph, 6.6. The strain is apple kush. I added a fine bit of dolomite before the second flush. Can anybody suggest anything other than just "ph"? It is in...

A mystery to me (photos) any insight?

Thanks for the replies guys. Last night I flushed that one and another (same strain) that is exhibiting the same issue, albeit milder. My soil ph was a bit low, 6.0. I feel like giving it a day or two to see any results before adding any more fertilizer, as I'm slightly apprehensive about its...

A mystery to me (photos) any insight?

Thanks for the input, Bilbo Baggins. However, she did get worse just after a recent watering. I'm wondering if the watering is maybe releasing pent up salts/ferts? I suppose I should just flush them all. I'm also concerned it may be a rust/fungus. Any thoughts?

A mystery to me (photos) any insight?

Hey all. I have an apple mush pictured here. I suspect it is nutrient burn however, I haven't fertilized for 10 days and have only used good water since then. I suspected burn about 9 days ago. I didn't do a flush, per se, but I have watered three times since noticing the burn rather heavily to...

    Flushing to correct PH/Mag Deficiency

Hey all. I just want to report back now that it has been a week and my girls are doing very much better. I did an epsom salt foliar feed and they loved it. Then I got some cal mag and they very much appreciated that. The are standing green and proud. Thanks for all the advice. I think I can...

    Flushing to correct PH/Mag Deficiency

I hear you! The run-off test seems like not enough info can be gained from it. Or, worse, skewed info. I'll be sure to update. Giving them the Epsom salt in about an hour.

    Flushing to correct PH/Mag Deficiency

racerboy71, Thanks for the input. Seemed odd to me to be checking water that had simply "passed through" my soil. I am going with a foliar feed of Epsom salt and if it still looks like trouble, I will be all over the Cal-Mag. You guys are great!

JohnDee, Thanks for the welcome. Good to be here. I do believe I have ben overcomplicating these things. Must be the excitement of getting back into growing.

    Flushing to correct PH/Mag Deficiency

Thanks for the info, Fresh 2De@th. I am a bit skeptical of the PH run-off situation since I did 3:1 water:soil flush and saw absolutely no change in the run-off PH. I'm going to dig deeper and try for a more accurate reading on the soil itself.

    Flushing to correct PH/Mag Deficiency

Thanks for this one, JohnDee. Makes a lot more sense to me to check soil PH than run-off. I used to grow many years ago in soil and would average .5 -.75 grams per watt and never ever once checked PH. Methinks I am trying to get too fancy. I am going to foliar feed with Epsom salt. Mag...

    Flushing to correct PH/Mag Deficiency

JohnDee, Thanks for the response and the laid-back advice from a fellow Oregonian. :eyesmoke: I'm going to try some Epsom salt and see if that improves the situation. Unless, you or someone else is has a better approach...?

    Flushing to correct PH/Mag Deficiency

Hi all. I am having what I suspect are PH problems in my Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil. My water goes in at 7-7.2 and runs off around 5. I did an experiment on one plant last night an flushed it: 3 gallon pot flushed with 9 gallons of water. Yet, my run off PH is still coming out around five. Can...

    Can Any Gurus Diagnose, Please?

You could be right about shocking from transplanting. I went to soil from Coco because I got the plants from a friend and I have never grown in Coco but am familiar with soil to a degree. It's my first grow back from a long time and I wanted to use a somewhat familiar medium.
