    Is my plant okay?

Fan is positioned as well as possible but it looks like the tenps are at 82F just under the lights. Will this cause problems?

    Is my plant okay?

Thanks for the reply. The light above that plant did seem loosely attached so you're probably right. I've got it secured now though. You think the red stems are no problem? I've got some organic fertilizer that is for blooming plants, I was going to add some in the flowering stage if needed but...

    Is my plant okay?

Plus all the plants have red stems! Is this a PH problem? I'm watering with tap water, no PH checking because I though I was the best.

    Is my plant okay?

What's up with the leaf in the pic with just one plant? I transplanted them from seed raising soil into a 80/20% mix of soil with slow release fertilizer and perlite two days ago. Temps are too high for a few of the plants right now, I'm getting my fan positioned better today, I hope. Do you...

Time to transplant? pics and questions

How am I looking? That was some hard shit but I've got a good method to move the lights up and down easier now. Ran out of pots so 2 of the plants are in significantly smaller containers, but I'll test it out. Cheers for any feedback.

Time to transplant? pics and questions

Also, I'm a bit worried about the time release fertilizer in my soil... Will waiting until a bit into flowering before I start adding nutes keep the plants happy? Sorry if that's too much of a vague question, my potting mix is organic and says it contains NuFert which is a time release organic...

Time to transplant? pics and questions

Thanks, more lights are on their way but I'm sticking with CFLs for the whole grow due to power usage and heat concerns. I've decided to go with 2 gallon pots and hope I can LST the height out of them, as getting root bound would be difficult to deal with for a novice like me. I'm only veging...

Time to transplant? pics and questions

Hi guys, are my plants looking ready to transplant or should I wait until they grow another set of leaves? I'm thinking of using 2 liter pots with 20% perlite 80% organic soil (with time release ferts). I'm planning to keep them in those pots all through and not start adding nutes until they're...

First Grow with pics... need some help!

Too much nutrients. Without a doubt.

Will my seedlings survive for another 5 days (pic)?

Hi guys. Sorry about the terrible picture quality, my cam isn't great and really sucks at close ups. My temps are at 83 F consistently, my fan is arriving in 4 days, along with soil and perlite to replant them. They should be okay with those temps and the small cups until then, right? Some...

Best methods for keeping your plants short and stout?

Thanks, never came across the term 'super crop' before but it looks good to do if the plants start getting too big. You think that a small pot will just produce a small plant, though? That is what I want but people often talk about root damage from small pots... Ideally my plants wouldn't get...

Will my seedlings survive for another 5 days (pic)?

Awesome, thanks guys. I'll raise them to the light a bit. First indoor grow so I'm a little apprehensive, thank you for commenting.

Best methods for keeping your plants short and stout?

Hi, I'm growing some plants of random genetics (5 day old seedlings right now) and don't want them to get too tall because my grow box is pretty small. I'm wondering what the best methods to encourage them to be short are. I plan to LST them and place a few bulbs (I'm using CFLs all through)...

Will my seedlings survive for another 5 days (pic)?

The thing is, moving the lights closer is a big effort that I don't want to go through until I transplant them into bigger pots and add more lights. Do you think they're stretching at the moment? Is that a big deal so young? I plan to bury a lot of the stem during transplant like I say. 5 more...

Will my seedlings survive for another 5 days (pic)?

As you can see they are 5 days since being put in soil (didn't use paper towel germ, I just soaked them in water overnight then chucked them in seed raising soil). I can't get my soil for another 5 days to transplant into proper pots but some of the stems are already almost as long as the cups...

My first CFL grow - seeds germinating now, few questions

Hi, thanks for the reply. Will there be any disadvantages whatsoever? As in less bushy or generally weaker? I want to do some LST to maximize yield, will less light make them less able to recover?

    doubt on watering and nutting

I'm no expert, but less is more when it comes to nutrients. You want to ease the plants into accepting the nutes and to flush every few weeks to make sure there isn't build up. If you're using potting soil with time release fert, make sure you don't start adding nutes until a few weeks at least...

Sand or small pebbles - which is better to mix with soil?

Those are the two things I'm thinking would be good to help the roots breath and stuff, I don't think I can find any perlite (looked everywhere, not ordering it off the internet) so something DIY will have to do. I'm wondering if anybody else has experience with mixing either of those into your...

My first CFL grow - seeds germinating now, few questions

Hi, I am doing a small grow in a box that is 90cm tall, 250cm long, and 45cm wide. The walls are covered with those reflective emergency blankets and I have 10 light sockets I can maneuver flexibly around the box independently of each other. My seeds are random/mixed genetics I bought off...
