    200 X Cree XP-G3 on one board

@nevergoodenuf wow yeah, great to find someone else tinkering with the same heatsink, I see you have 6 of the copper heat pipes, I need to grill the shop keeper and see if he's had me over for a 400w The position of the cobs I totally get, maybe even more spacing would be even more optimal...

    200 X Cree XP-G3 on one board

Well then you know how good the heatsink is and I'm sure you will have thought to yourself while staring at it, how did they get the copper heat pipes into the fins, how were they attached, what was painted in what order, how did they get the copper flat in the block. How do all the little bent...

    200 X Cree XP-G3 on one board

Thank you @KobKits! I do struggle to understand why Mean Well even put on a voltage dial if its best cranked to full, assuming thats what it is for sure. The current I can understand is useful, I wonder what the adjustable range is, I'll get the multi meter on it in the morning and make sure I'm...

    200 X Cree XP-G3 on one board

Thats a bit harsh buddy, the same heatsink was used as my starting point because they are easily available at the local market. I literally walk out of my door and there is a market with over 100 little shops and every single one of them stocks the same range for this model. Just search google...

Yeah the drinking can easily get out of control, my fist few years here were a mess. When I'm in the south I've never been as far north as Guizhou but it sure looks beautiful. Hit me up on your next visit I'll bring you gifts.

Should I always use full spectrum?

CFL's typically run at about 0.4 umol per Watt so you you will be much better with LED as the newer led systems are now getting over 2.2 umol per Watt. The operating temp is 85 - 105F or 638 BTU for the Mars 2 - 400 150F to me feels hot but is bearable to touch (its different for everyone)

Should I always use full spectrum?

A Super HPS @ 250w = 410 umol so yes its about the same in terms of output

    200 X Cree XP-G3 on one board

It would indeed haven been super impressive if I had hand soldered them by hand! I admit I had a friends robot do the work for me, kinda cheating I know. So turn the Voltage down till the light goes out then then tweak it up a little? and leave the current on its max setting? Any advice on how...
