I'm having 2nd thoughts about HPS, wowzer! My CMH fixtures never used this much energy, crazy! Hopefully the results will be worth it, if not I'm back to lower yields with the LED's.

Have you had any experience with the 550 Rspec or 600H Rspec? I heard that they are 4% more efficient than the 3000K V2 and has a slight edge in flower with having the reds.. :peace:

I finalized the installation of the new tent and setup. I decided to only run the HPS in the new tent for various reasons. Ikr. But the HLG 600 QB advertises as follows so I really want to see for myself :weed: HLG 600W LED kit has a output equivalent of 1000W DE HPS. 600W Kit is powered with our custom designed high efficiency QB288 V2 R spec Quantum Board.

Here's what I'm gonna do. I'll place plants in the new tent. I'll hang the hlg600 on one end and the other hps light (new/used light De 1000w with ballast, $120) on the other end, I'll use panda film to separate them (if possible) and compare Led to hps :cool:

I understand, but assuming that hes an advid grower I was curious his opinion/experience. I've been using a hlg 600 that's been averaging 6-8 ounces per plant, soil, organic in 7gal air pots. I get envious of my friends who are getting 15 plus ounces per plant from their old school hps single...

I've applied 4 applications of a 3% diluted foliage spray and it seems to be working :peace:

I'm gonna try with a hydrogen peroxide (3%) foliage spray. I'll start with 6 tablespoons per gallon and increase to 8 then 12. I'll post new photos of the results :peace:

This outdoor grow is beside an apple tree that has a fungus that obviously transferred to the grow. I sprayed yesterday with Neem oil and seems to have gotten worse. Any advice would be very appreciated

My monitor was just delivered today, which includes lux meter. After dialing back the wattage to 250watts the lux readings at canopy level measures 24,500 which is middle of the required amount posted below. HOW MUCH LIGHT DO YOUR CANNABIS PLANTS REQUIRE? Clones and seedlings: 5,000–7,000 lux...

Thanks for all the info. I'll dial back the wattage to 250 and see if the growth rate under the canopy declines. What I have noticed in the flower tent is everything around the perimeter seems to be fuller vs directly underneath (much airy bud sites), and at the center they seem to have leaf...

I dialed back on the variac controller for the exhaust fan to bump up the temp. The one plant that I butchered yesterday looks very happy even after turning down the wattage. Let me know what else you guys can think of that may help. Cheers 8-)

I have my meter at canopy level. I do have an IR meter, I'll check for any deviations. Hybridway2 mentioned led deficiency, is this lack of a certain spectrum? Because the ambient light to the eye is much more pronounced than the hps or my cmh lights. Just curious...

I follow the VFD chart as close as I can. I apply the following once weekly "tea" and water weekly. Cal/mag, sweet stash, great white, microbe food, ph 5.8 - 6.2, soil m3 mix

I'm running the veg @ 78-82deg and 60-65%RH, 18/6 @560watts, 4x4 tent, I just raised the light as high as I can and dialed back the wattage to 375w. The plants seem to be growing as a Bush more than in height. Their about 36" high now, week 5 or 6 of veg. I've always tried following the VFD...
