Toronto autumn 2021 - how are your plants doing?

In southwest ontario, i place 4 stakes around plant (2 ends higher than other) and attach plastic sheet to tops and slope it. It becomes a dew shield (like a carport) and prevents mold for the most part. I have used the H2O2 and water bath and it works nice. Next year, may i suggest trying...

    What dehumidifier to get?

If you can afford it, get the drain hose option. I am looking also, my concern is keeping watts on lower side. Some have shitty LEDs for night, disable. Some won't turn back on after power outage. Eva-dry don't seem too bad. Use to be available at costco. Amabozon.. search donatello...

    floraflex bubblers uneven watering

Switch the second row lines and first row lines and see if you get the same results. Are they all the same level horizontally? Do you have a pressure guage to test? Try to test different emitters setup. You have 2 per container, mix and match. Lastly, test each line for volume. That's all i...

    Brainstorming shed/outbuilding plans…

I run an outdoor shed setup. Are the sheds already insulated? If not, get homedepot insulated foam board with reflective backing so that part would be taken care of. Raise it a little off ground so it stays warm. That costco one has windows so you could easily vent. What kind of power are you...

Drying cabinet built from insulated foam board?

An old fridge works pretty good. If it works, you have an area with cold / managed humidity. Not sure how much you are drying so it might be a mute point with fridge.

    Outdoors ontario

Diy. 4 metal posts, 2 ends taller so you can slope the plastic (for rain). Fasten plastic to the top. This solution works well for late flowering with cool over night temps that brings dew. If you created outdoor scrog with posts, you are halfway there for protection.

    Outdoors ontario

In south west ontario (42 lat), if plants finish in late October or sometime in November, a dew shield (4 posts with clear plastic on top, sloping away) will stop evening and morning dew setting into bud. This reduces mold.

Strains outdoor at northern latitude with flavoursome terpene profiles?

In alberta you get tons of sun. In your green house, place black water containers. In the day the sun heats them and at sunset they start giving off heat captured. For dry areas, a DIY swamp cooler. 1 pound auto, sounds amazing and congrats.

Strains outdoor at northern latitude with flavoursome terpene profiles?

I second this one. I gave clones to a few friends and they were speechless at how fast colas are developing. They started bud sites mid June. Mid july now in southwest ontario and it will be done by 1st week of September. I will grow it indoors next month with the need to go 14/10, 13/11, and...

How do you store over a dozen mothers long term?

I can agree. 12 is a lot of work. You could try grafting. The square pots are good because you can easily trim an inch or 2 from outside soil to refresh with new soil if you are keeping for a long time. I like to take cuttings and clone, then put mother in the flower room. I have a few...

FREE TEST for Inkbird IBS-TH2 Temp/Humidity Sensor Data Logger

Just received the IBS-THS PLUS with temp/humidity probe. Excellent device. Your location needs to be on to find device/sensor. It really is a small but super addition to a room. My temp and humidity readings were off. I left it alone and it self corrected. From my perspective, cool gadget and...

I would not spray leaves. BT is your best friend against them Monterey LG 6338 Bacillus Thuringiensis (B.t.) Worm & Caterpillar Killer Moths are almost done messing with plants in Canada. 1st i would do is put 4 tall poles on perimeter of plant. You can use it to place net around plant. End...

I would apply the bt with a drop of dish soap. For testing, get a container with some leaves from another plant, spray them with bt and place a moth in the container with holes. You will find out pretty fast if it is successful or not.
