You hit the nail on the head buddy... It does in fact put an extra "coat" on for when it gets chilly, she thinks shes gonna die if it gets too cold so she throws out some more glands to help protect herself... It will also bring the color out as well.... you can get purple out of any strain...

I personally wouldnt spray vinegar on my plants- even if it were diluted- get some of the insect killing soap- it puts a nice "waxy" layer over your leaves, kinda looks cool too..... should fix the prob.
