1 oz...are you serious? if your not getting 2+ yoru wasting time and money as well as energy. Try for 3 1/2 to 4. I get (with photos to prove) 3-4 out a 5 gal pot and 3-4 lbs out of a 15 gal using absolutely no molassis to slow growth

6-6.5 is what your aiming for. Room temp water is best, and letting it set 24-72, that way you allow Cholrine to evap as well as any fuoride
