Ive seen all kinds of strange leaf numbers off of clones.
Purer Sativas will give you some single leaf leaves sometimes.
I had a Afghani/N Lights hybrid that had 12 tips on a fan leaf, outdoors..
In my experience, fim'ing works best for compact indicas.
Nirvana's Papaya strain is extremely compact and dense... the stems grow very close to the main stem. Growing from seed, I got one big (thick, not long) cola and a couple medium sized ones.

Didn't get any blue pheno..but the smell is outrageous. If I were you I would take a portion of it when you're done and do a good cure job.
I used to drill screws ( or just use push pins if you can) into the rim of the pot. Then I'd use gardening twine to pull branches over (Twisting the ends of the twine around the screws). I recommend bending them OVER the middle of the plant.

Might want to invest in a 30x eye loupe.. usually about $10 - $15.
You want to make sure the trichomes are solid white for sativa dominant, and mostly amber for indica dominants. (But with anything, experimentation is key)
