I got a few hydro grows under my belt....this is the first DWC setup. 16 plants in one 4'x4' flood table. 45 gal reservoir...I use botanicare cns 17 with hydroplex. Ph keeps running up pretty quickly 5.5 to 6.5-7 in a few days. Is this normal? Also, my ppm is rising without the addition of ph...

Some hermies pollen isnt even viable. Its good to test that as well...then you dont have to worry about that particular strain pollinating anything. Some plants hermie worse than others, so for some plants, this is reasonable others, its not.

What insecticide you using? You need azatrol! When i had mites, i hit em hard with an alcohol/soap/water mixture, this killed adult mites. I then sprayed with azatrol the following day, this ensures any eggs that hatch become infected. I then use a bomb to finish any living mites off. Then a few...

Good post, i read all of it. I was wrong about not aerating the solution, looks like it is a good idea. I guess that will help with ph a bit as well. My last grow might have been better using these other methods, i went through a ton of ph up lol! My bud still tastes killer and gets ya pretty...

Thanks!! Yes the signs will get bigger and much easier to tell, IMO you are rushing through this. Let the plants take the time they need. In the mean time, get ready for the next grow so you arent so anxious next time.

I just realized on the back of the bottle it says to mix with water and use immediately. Not sure where people are getting this tea idea. Just before giving to plants, ph it to 6.5 if in soil. Try comparing ph to non ph'd plants. Do you got a few of the same strain to test it on?

Looks like a female to me...not sure why that calyx (ball) has a little stem like that...i do see a pistil (hair) Keep an eye on her. With a week or so you should be able to tell....

rushing into flower is not a good thing. wait till all plants show pre flowers...this means they are mature enough for flowering. you have plenty of time before males get to a point in which they can pollinate a female.

Yea its possible to get through a grow without phing...its just a simple step that will increase nutrient uptake which will increase yield, flavor, potency ect....a very cheap yet important upgrade. give it a shot!
