    Grow op numero tres

I'm not a soil man so I can't comment (in hydro and I don't flush), but I'd think right about now you'd be wanting to maximize your nutes (within reason and short of burning them, obviously) - now's when they're really filling out, don't starve them.

No, you can automate a black cloth to shade the entire greenhouse, thereby making it light for as long as you'd like. During the winter, you'll need some supplemental light.

Negative - mine's red with a black cap.

    Co2+4000watts Liquid Lumens= Dankey Mc'Danksome

Subscribed, sick looking setup. Very curious about those water cooled hoods - thinking of running two 1K of them in my 8x4 tent. Without a chiller, a 100 gallon reservoir would be reasonably sufficient to keep their temps in line? And I'm guessing I can't use my reservoir with nutes in it, as...

My First Grow! DIY DWC & Grow Area, SNOW WHITE FEM FROM SEED!

I have a $30 Hanna off of eBay that works like a charm. Eventually I'm gonna upgrade to a meter in each reservoir which measures EC/pH/PPM and never needs calibrating, but my cheap eBay ones are working fine. That'd be my suggestion.

Bubblelicious, New York Power Diesel, and Super Skunk in DWC

My pleasure man, but in all honesty, I'm really just regurtitating info from that "ask Lucas" thread on cannabis-world.com. Anyways, have built my stand and hooked up a light to make sure they work (they do). So, here's the plan: This is the stand I build and the reservoir I'm planning on...

Advanced Plan, Advanced Questions, Need your help

All right, last post and then I'll let the people who grow trees chime in - with a limitless budget, why not build a state of the art greenhouse somewhere? Your yields will compare reasonably well with using 50,000 watts (better some seasons (summer), less others (winter)), and since you're...

Advanced Plan, Advanced Questions, Need your help

So you're planning on running ~2000 watts per plant, and running 25 plants? Are you renting out or buying a factory? Because you can't just wire up your house for 500 amps, to my knowledge - regardless, I'm sticking by my story that 4 lbs. from a plant is an unreachable goal, unless you're...

Question on weight in tray of Ebbflow system

I had the same problem in my 4x4 tray - the sag was so bad that there was a decent amount of standing water in the middle of the tray after it had "drained". To fix it, just bought some 4x4s and built a stand for the middle - works like a fugging charm. First pick is before I inserted the...

Advanced Plan, Advanced Questions, Need your help

Growing a ten foot high plant indoors is counterproductive and wasteful, unless it's an indoor greenhouse. If you're looking to maximize your yield while taking into account plant counts, just do a screen of green, with one plant per 1000W taking up a 4x4 or 5x5 footprint, at about 3-5 feet...

    Grow op numero tres

Looking very good man, but a question - why are you going to lower the nutes? This is when the buds are really gonna pack on some mass................

Bubblelicious, New York Power Diesel, and Super Skunk in DWC

Yeah, every two hours is definitely on the high side for E&F, but that's because of the medium I'm using - it's virtually impossible to overwater. Hydroton (as we all know) doesn't hold much water, which allows me to flood every two hours (could even go up to every hour if I wanted, and am...

How close is to close (for the light)?

I agree with the people who've said to back off the distance of the light. People saying get HIDs as close as possible without causing heat stress make me wonder if they've ever used them before. I could put plants 3" under my 1000W without getting heat stress, but they'd be the color of piss...

    Fluro Distance?

Thanks guys; I'm gonna shoot for about 6" away, and when the moms get too close, I'm just gonna top them. Just not messing around with moving the light every day - the light's gonna be stationary, the moms are just going to be cut. Only gonna need about 20 cuts from 5-6 moms every two weeks...

    Fluro Distance?

Understood, but I have neither the time nor the inclination to be moving them up and down every day - figure a nice 6" distance should be fine, no?

"Be careful, we would all love to believe that everyone out there is as honest as ourselves but they are not." I don't consider myself to be an ultra-honest character, but I do know that I'm not a cop or a snitch. I also know that I'm not stupid enough to go near any regional thread with a ten...

    Fluro Distance?

What about for moms and clones under 8 4' T8s? Figure about six inches should be decent, no? Sorry for the noobish questions; converting my veg tent into a two-level affair (with a 400HPS up top for vegging plants before they go into my flower tent) and using fluoros for the first time since I...
