For the LST, you can't beat floral tape and home made "S-hooks" - The tape is 99 cents per 300', and the hooks are baling wire made with needle nose pliers. My cost for LST would be around $3.00 for the entire season. Pix below to show the action. Good luck & good grow...BB

I would absolutely agree, 10 to 1 is a magnitude apart. I'm thinking that in 100 gallon, the plant wouldn't recognize that it's in a "container", and behave as any plant in the "ground". I use the formula, "2 feet for each gallon", so a 10 gal. on my patio would ALWAYS be sufficient. YOUR...

I always take my clones from the lower side branching, this material needs to be cleaned out anyway, so waste not, etc.. Save your top material for production, except for the occasional topping or fim. Good luck & good grow.......BB
