Thanks for the replies. I'm using RO water, but adding cal mag as I've heard lots of people note they tend to require more under LED.
They are going on 5 weeks of flower now. I first thought N toxicity and flushed them well, but never got them to shake the claw. They are still going and...
The new growth is like neon green and some of the leafs are folded like taco shells downward. That's why I thought it looked over watered.
I add call mag to my mix almost every water as well
Every time I think I have these girls back on track something else goes south. They look over watered to me but I don't think that it causing this. We have had higher than normal humidity lately, could that be causing this?
They haven't changed since my last update, even after a strong...
By the time you run an extra inline fan to cool your lights off it isn't 5x the price. Plus not having to change your bulbs every year.
On pure yield you make it up with HID lights. But they arent 5x the price unless you are looking at a really top shelf unit imo.
I go 22-25 inches on mine. Depends on your footprint of the light and your space. Imo a foot is a little close to them, but im sure it depends on the light
Honestly. What everyone said. Build your own.
But-- imo. Depending on your set up, it might not be cheaper. Better quality yes, bit cheaper maybe not. I didnt look at the link, but have looked at them in the past, and believe they are like $1500-2500.
My set up. Light, fan/filter...
There are 3 in there under a onxy bloom LED.
That's how I was told to water them. Let them suck up what they need. I usually leave a few inches in the bottom of the tray, let it sit for 20 mins, then take the tray away.
I had some issues and had to do some flushing. Usually they are watered every 3 days alternating between plain ro water and nutes. I feed from the bottom with trays and add a tiny amount on the top.
Just some pics to update everyone.
They are looking a little pale. I gave them a good feeding last night to hopefully correct the problem. They looked hungry.
As always and thoughts, comments or suggestions welcome.
Those bulbs can get pretty hot. What is your plan for venting it? LED kick off a little heat but I bet you that 300w kicks off heat similar to a hps of that size. If your already dealing with the heat issue might as well go HID and get a better yield.
I use LED. When buying a light imo you...
You'd have to cut a hole. Actually you'd have to cut two. Plus the noise of the fan pulling air through it can be a little loud and noticeable. Even without a filter you would need to vent.
But to answer your other question I dont smell a thing with my cabinet door closed but it stinks like...
Some of the specifics:
Area is a 34"x 34" x 6ft
Light is a onxy bloom by rapid Led (great service from that company and high quality. Ive been very happy with it so far).
The 3 plants are in 5 gallon planters with sunshine mix as the medium. Water is RO and currently using maxi bloom (I...
Just an update on my grow. Things seem to be going well. These girls showed sex on August 12, and have some nice popcorn buds going on them.
Any suggestions or things you see that im doing wrong?
Sometimes but not always it can indicate that they are seeded if im not mistaken. I had a few in my grow early on but they are hardly noticeable now with all the white. I wouldnt worry too much, just keep an eye on them.
