if you start seeds inside on 16/8 and then put them outside when the day are still short they will bud and reveg. and that will slow growth..... find out how much daylight you will have on the day you plan to put them out....and set your light close to that...(over 13 hours) or you can use...

i only use clones...well,now i do...ask around and im sure you can find a trust worthy dispensary to get them... using clones skips a lot of work you wont have to sex your plants... wont have to baby them as seedlings... you can grow more strains.... try blue dream if you can find it... it's...

i use a 600 on my sog... don't go under 50 watts per square foot... you can get buckets from the dollar tree they are like 1.4 gallons... for outdoor...could you run clones not seeds? i would urge you to grow something with more outdoor testing...

clones are easier... also if you put them out that early you will need supplemental lighting..or they will start to bud then reveg... also 7gallon pots are too small i wouldn't run anything less than 18 gallons...

i live on the north coast and i can grow almost any strain here.... i would say...since you're in cali...it would be easier to start with clones... this is the list i am picking from this year... agent orange xj-13 jilly bean blue dream the white cookies blackwater ken's gdp OG fire cherry...
