I only clip off the leaves if they are diseased....if healthy I leave them alone, they are the solar panels for the plant. I used to lollipop and all that, found it better to just leave the plant alone and let nature do its thing.

I have the Euro hood, basically the same as the Easy-cool except it has flanges on both end. It appears that the easy-cool has only 1 flange and the other side is just flush. Love my hood, the glass never gets hot, my plants can touch the glass and not get heat burn.
